Beware: Bears Behind Every Bush!

Our trip to Alaska proved to be the most memorable, and the scariest trip I’ve ever taken… Memorable because of the awesome adventure it was – just Greg and me, a tent, and some provisions, hunting for bear in a location I was certain no...

About Me

Hi, my name is Jeanne Vaughn, a Tennessean born and raised and as the saying goes –  I’m as southern as sweet tea.  I live on our farm with my husband, my dog, three horses, three hunting dogs, my son and his family on our left and our daughter and her dog on our right.

I ‘m retired from my office management job at our family construction company, and I ‘m now playing catch-up on the many interests I put on hold during my working and child raising years.

My many interests include: spending time with family and friends, writing, painting, decorating, horseback riding, gardening, photography, reading, snow skiing, hiking, biking and music.

I have been told that I am a good storyteller and have received loving encouragement  to start this blog and tell my stories.

Because my husband is an avid hunter, I have the hunter’s wife storieswe travel quite a bit so there are my travel and adventure stories; then there are my crazy childhood and teen year stories; and of course, a mother always has stories about her kids and grandkids.

Everybody has stories to tell, these are mine; I hope they bring a smile and maybe a bit of laughter to your day.
